ABOUT MDS
What is MDS?
Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) are a group of rare blood disorders caused by dysfunctional bone marrow, leading to ineffective production of healthy blood cells. People with MDS may experience symptoms such as fatigue, frequent infections, and easy bruising or bleeding.
Often considered a type of cancer, MDS can range from mild to severe and may progress to acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in some cases. Early diagnosis and personalized treatment are essential for managing symptoms and improving quality of life.
